Canine Partners are dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities by partnering with an amazing assistance dog. The dogs give their partners greater independence and a better quality of life. They have contacted us with this message :-
“As you will appreciate our fund raising has been greatly impacted by the Covid -19 situation and hence looking ahead we are planning an Arts and Crafts Exhibition in the Spring of 2021. WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR TIME NOT YOUR CASH!
As you will see on the attached poster, we are asking for children of all ages to produce a piece of art or craft in any form that could be sold at our exhibition. Canine Partners would be happy to reimburse the cost of any materials from the sale of your item. Or you might prefer to donate all the monies from the sale to the charity.
My ask is that if possible, you share this request and the poster with your pupils and their parents.

It would be no exaggeration to state that children’s internet usage will have soared during the coronavirus lockdown. However, with increased use unfortunately comes increased risk and many experts and leading authorities in the media are warning of the dangers around online grooming. That’s why we’ve posted this guide to help parents and carers understand exactly what online grooming is all about.
In English, Year 7 have been exploring different cultures through poetry and creative writing. After studying a poem about one particular culture not having access to clean water, pupils designed a poster persuading the audience to donate money to the charity Water Aid. A huge well done to Lucia, Zoe, Kate, Helen and Alesha who produced some fantastic posters!
In Literacy, Year 6 have been looking at different film narratives. One film they have looked at is Pandora Discovered and then tasked with creating a report all about life on this dangerous and unknown planet. The results have been extremely impressive. Well done to Bella, Evelyn, Erin, Imogen, Luke. Naomi, Niamh, Olivia, Sophia and Tom in particular!

In Literacy, Year 5 have been doing some work revolving around imagining a circus coming to town! One task they were asked to complete was to write a diary entry describing going to watch the actual circus with some brilliant pieces being produced.
