As part of our reward system at Ovingham, pupils are awarded house points for their
behaviour, manners and high-quality work across all lessons. Pupils accumulate these and hand them in during form time each week with the winning class being announced in each year group assembly as well as overall house results in KS2/KS3 assemblies each week. As part of our drive to raise the profile of this reward system, every week our Y8 House Captains have been collecting in each classes’ house points total and keeping track of each house’s (Roman, Norman and Saxon) total with these being announced in a weekly assembly. It has been a closely fought competition, but this half term’s results are as follows:
1st – Roman (15,375)
2nd – Norman (15,257)
3rd – Saxon (14,513)
This result means that Roman House (5DC, 6JK, 7DE and 8AS) have been rewarded with a
non-uniform day this Thursday (4 th April). All other pupils must attend school in their normal uniform. Special mention must also go to 5JL who were the class with the highest house point total of the half term with 6558 house points and will also get an extra reward for this.
