Yesterday, the U12 football team traveled down to Leeds to compete in the ESFA National Cup. After a long journey, the lads started quickly and went into half time with a 1-0 lead courtesy of a great strike by Charlie. A strong opposition then turned the game round and were leading 2-1 with 30 seconds of the game left to play. The lads showed tremendous fighting spirit by forcing an equaliser from Will which took the game into extra time. The lads dominated extra time scoring another two goals which were scored by Ben and Harry M.
It was hard to pick a man of the match, but special mention must go to Ben, who was only on the pitch ten minutes and managed to score, and set one up. Well done!
The lads showed fantastic effort, determination and attitude throughout the game and were a credit to themselves, their parents and the school. We are all eagerly awaiting the next round draw which is published on Monday.
