Eight budding chefs participated in the second Ovingham Apple Bake Off competition. The competition, which is run in partnership with Wylam Community Orchard and The Feathers Inn, is a great way for Year 8 pupils to demonstrate their culinary skills. Pupils are challenged to create and bake any dish using apples supplied by Wylam Community Orchard. The bakes were judged by award winning chef Rhiann Craddock from The Feathers Inn. Rhiann was impressed with the skills demonstrated and beautifully presented dishes.
The overall winner was Angus. Well done to all participating pupils!
