After a great night sleep in wonderful accommodation (everyone thinks it’s very posh!) the group are refuelled and already on route to the cathedral to visit the ‘Cloth Museum’ (shown in the picture) which is Ypres’ museum to World War One.
After that they will collect their guide and visit some of the planned memorials and sites including Tyne Cot, Langemark and Hill 60 to name but a few.
It’s going to be a jam packed day as the site seeing will continue after tea with a visit to the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. And then, finally, after the delays and rescheduling of yesterday, the chocolate shops of Ypres will get a visit or two.
Everyone is happy and the weather is much better than yesterday… it’s going to be busy!
