This morning we did a tour round BBC Newcastle, having a grown son with an abiding interest in radio. Our tour was made all the more entertaining by a group of boys from your school celebrating a classmate’s birthday. I’m sorry I don’t remember the birthday boy’s name but he and his friends were a credit to their parents and, I’m sure, their school, with their good manners, the way they entered into the spirit of the tour, and their general good nature. As visitors from Australia we were interested to know which school they attended, as they reminded us of our son at their age. You obviously encourage independent thinking, coupled with consideration for others, attributes essential to any good school. Congratulations.
