In year 6 our pupils research and evaluate what makes good slippers.  They make a template for their own feet and test the size by making a model.  They experiment with design ideas and then select the materials they need. Newly learned stitching skills are used to construct their own slippers by hand.

 I never fail to be impressed with the results and pupils often surprise themselves!  Here are some examples.
