Paris Trip 2017 – Day 4
Struggling for reliable internet today so photos will have to follow later.
Yesterday we headed off extra early. The first destination was Montmartre. We started the long climb and finally made it to the top to be greeted by a fantastic view of a very sunny Parisian skyline. After a quick tour of the beautiful church the pupils had some time buy some of the ice cream Montmartre is famous for.
Next on the itinerary was lunch sat on the grass under the Eiffel Tower. We then set off at a trot to make it to the river before our river cruise set off. We arrived in time and the pupils piled onto the boat and took their seats. The cruise was lovely with the sun beating down we all sat back and watch Paris sail by.
After the cruise we drove the long way (via the arc de triumph, Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde) to the huge Montparnasse tower. The pupils highly enjoyed the rapid lift journey and were then greeted by our second and far better view of the Parisian skyline.
Once down we headed back to the accommodation for a quick trip to the supermarket to buy you all presents (or sweets for themselves!) followed by dinner (tasty sausages and potato balls – yes I never knew they came in that form either!). After dinner we enjoyed some more games outside before Ju Ju, our animator, ran a quiz in which the pupils had to answer questions about the day in French.
The pupils then headed up to their rooms to pack as we would have a very early start.
