60 plus 20 = Partnership Success

60 plus 20 = Partnership Success

Yesterday, Ovingham Middle School opened its doors to all the first schools in the Prudhoe partnership and 60 learners from across the schools all came in for a fantastic day.

The students worked alongside each other on an enterprise activity to fund raise for their individual schools.

They were helped by 20 6th form students from Prudhoe Community High School, all former pupils of the schools they were helping.

A wonderful day celebrating community partnership and pupil voice with some great ideas at the end.

Each school is now challenged to make the ideas a reality and has a budget and challenge to turn 20 earth pounds into as much as they can for their schools.

Ideas ranged from cake sales to car washes and lots of great twists in the ideas along the way.

The first schools involved were: Broomley, Ovingham First, Mickley, Prudhoe West, Castle, St Michael’s and Adderlane.  They were joined by Highfield Middle School and ourselves.
